Tersus Solutions Expands to Canada: Bringing Recommerce Home for Our Partners

Our new Calgary facility is live, and now we can serve all of the US and Canada. At Tersus Solutions, we've always believed that recommerce works best when it's built close to the brands and the inventory it serves. Today, we're taking that belief north of the border.

The opening of our Calgary, Alberta facility represents Tersus Solutions' first owned and operated international location and is a major milestone in our mission to build a scaled circular economy infrastructure.

Why Canada, and why now?

As our brand partner base has grown, so has the demand for in-region processing capacity. Shipping products across borders for sorting, cleaning, repair, quality inspection, and recommerce preparation doesn't pencil out. It adds time, cost, and friction -- all of the things that slow down a circular economy. Our Calgary facility addresses that directly, bringing Tersus processes to the Canadian market and enabling the same high-caliber, value-added services for products already in Canada. It also reduces shipping distances, eliminates duty charges, and adds a stronger local footprint for the brands we serve. The Calgary site is Tersus Solutions' fifth location in North America and opens it's doors processing items for Like New, lululemon’s branded resale program. Tersus will provide cleaning, conditioning, grading and fulfillment services for the Vancouver-headquartered global technical athletic apparel, footwear, and accessories company. The Calgary operation provides the same comprehensive services Tersus provides across its U.S. facilities, while expanding the company’s ability to support additional brand partners, first responders, and the oil and gas industry, as recommerce and sustainable cleaning methods gain momentum across Canada.

Built to deliver from day one

Leading the Calgary operation is Steve Bommer, General Manager of Tersus Solutions Canada. Steve brings decades of repair and logistics experience, firsthand knowledge of what it takes to build and run a company, and a deep commitment to circularity to the role. His leadership ensures that the same standard of care Tersus delivers in the US is matched, as expected, in Canada. The facility is 25,817 sq. ft. and currently employs 22 team members, creating new jobs in the Calgary community while building critical recommerce infrastructure for the Canadian market. As Tersus brings on more brands, we expect the team to grow as we staff up to meet the needs of our brand partners. The Tersus US team will work hand-in-hand with the Canadian team to deliver the same quality of service our partners rely on.

Leveraging Local Expertise Our expansion into Canada is about more than opening a new facility—it's about building the right partnerships to strengthen the circular economy from day one. That's why we're excited to share that our Calgary facility will partner with Spirit West, a company that has been serving the Rocky Mountain region since 1986.

For nearly four decades, Spirit West has been Calgary's trusted destination for technical apparel repairs, custom decoration, and adventure gear. Their reputation for craftsmanship and deep expertise in restoring high-performance outdoor products makes them an ideal partner as we expand our circular services into Canada.

This collaboration brings together two complementary strengths. Tersus provides industry-leading CO₂ cleaning, grading, and recommerce solutions that prepare products for their next owner at scale. Spirit West adds specialized technical repair capabilities, ensuring that garments requiring mending, patching, zipper replacements, or other repairs are fully restored before returning to circulation.

By combining advanced cleaning and resale operations with expert repair under one roof, we're creating a more efficient, seamless process for brands looking to extend the life of their products. It's the kind of partnership that makes circularity practical, scalable, and impactful (keeping more high-quality gear in use, reducing waste, and helping brands deliver on their sustainability commitments) while giving customers access to products that are ready for many more adventures.
